Skullknight is one of the best tanks in the game and in my opinion the best. It's great 1v1 and probably the best tank for large scale group pvp. The Skullknight excels in many aspects of the game, has a large aoe stun and can run and gun with mana stars aswell as many displacement ability's.Auramancy
Comet's Boon is a great gap closing ability for you and your allies also has some decent damage, but we manly use it for gap closing as it has a short cool down.Conversion Shield is well probably one of the best ability's in the game and i'm sure everyone is familiar with it.
Vicious explosion is a aoe pull which is used for engaging the enemy and should be follow with Hell spears/crows.
These two ability's are used for breaking CC and preventing it.
Protective wings is a good ability and i choose to take it rather than put an extra point in the other trees its very useful is certain situations.
Defence
Refreshment is a must ability as it used for accumulating anger which is used in also provides 1.8k extra health which is always nice.These are great ability's when used together, shield slam is a stun that can combo with bull rush to make it a trip and has excellent damage.
Boastful Roar is a ability that reduces movement and cast speeds and is great for killing healers, it also has some nice damage.
Redoubt is an amazing ability that increases your block rate and and when combo'd with will give you a large health shield. Also prevents getting tripped and push back.
Imprison is a great ability for shutting out large parts of raid as you can't be attacked or healed through it and provides a small area for people to move around in. mainly used for stopping people escaping or getting healed. Beware it can be glided out of/in.
Invincibly well... makes you invincible large cool down can be healed will active is really good emergency button Lasts 12seconds.
Occultism
Mana stars is a great ability for stopping people gliding away as well as sustained damage.Hell spears One of the best ability's in the game is a aoe impale(root?) Ok damage can be combo'd with a lot of ability's like for extra damage and a poison effect.
Crows is a great ability as it affects all enemy's around you and reduces their physical accuracy.
Stillnes is a Aoe silence. Instantm long cool down. I like it more than but some like the damage that retribution provides.
Summon Wraith Great underused ability. Aoe damage, Reduces move speed, attack speed and cast time.
Passive
Increases blockrate +15%Increases Physical defense +700
Increases health and the effect of by 20%
Decreases all of defenses cooldowns by 20%
7% of damage taken is returned as health
Increases your crit rate by 20% when you get crit worth the point but you can drop it if you want to take something else.
Equipment/Stats
As a Skullknight you are looking for Stamina/Intellect.Stamina increases your Max Health and Parry Rate. (+8 Health per point)
Intellect is optional and increases your Magic Attack(+0.1 per point), Mana pool, Melee/ranged evasion and Magic/Ranged Crit rate.
You should always be in cloth or plate gear with a shield.
- Plate armor has high Physical Defense and low Magical Defense base values.
Bonuses
Plate 4/7: Physical defense increased by 3%.
Plate 7/7: Physical defense increased by 3%. Maximum HP increased by 5%. Stun and Shackle duration -20%.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Weak against Blunt, Normal against Piercing, Strong against Slashing
Cloth 4/7: Cast time reduced by 4%. Chance to interrupt casting when hit by an enemy is reduced by 50%.
Cloth 7/7: Cast time reduced by 4%. Chance to interrupt casting when hit by an enemy is reduced by 50%. Magical damage increased by 5%. The duration of the effects of control reduced by 30%.
Crafted Gear you are looking for the Lake Set as it gives High Intellect and Stamina.
If you are using Cloth gear You must be in the stone set.
Weapon's
Shield is a Must. Lake. (not sure what the dropped shields are like)
Sword: Attack speed: 1.6
Bonuses available: force, stamina, intelligence - Damage type: slashing
Mace: Attack speed: 1.7
Bonuses available: force, stamina, intelligence - Damage type: blunt

If its ment for PvP Teleportation, Thwart, and Retribution are a must. Especially large scale. Comet, Reprisal, and Wings can all be removed. Wings is great on a paladin or abolisher but Skullknights are THE initiators.

@nkr @Fancypants Plate pre 1.7 cloth post, mages will probably hurt a lot but there are a lot more melee/range atm plate is also easier and cheap to obtain and the auroria plate bonuses are nice. Post 1.7 there will be a huge surge in the amount of mages since godswhip is very strong,
