Seriously wounded after a gangland shooting, attorney Jennifer Walters received an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk! Transformed by the blood transfusion, Walters received a milder version of her cousin's powers. She was large, green, and impossibly strong, but she still retained her intellect and personality. Choosing to spend all her time as The Sensational She-Hulk, Jen Walters has served on the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Defenders, the Lady Liberators, and has built a reputation as a brilliant attorney for the superhero community.
