Intro

Similar to the sword and board Blighter, instead you take a more offensive route and forego the defense tree in favour of Occultism's utility.

Grab a two-hander or dual wield it. Dual-Wield Proficiency will give you its crits either way, the ranged parry is negligible.


Pros

- Huge damage potential
- Gap closers
- Decent instant CC
- Mobile


Cons

- Lacking in defense compared to similar blighter builds
- Vulnerable to stuns, sleeps, and disarms
- Some reliance on backstabs


Combos


Keep Battle Focus, Retribution and Frenzy up constantly when you're in a fight. ALWAYS cast Urgency beforehand if you have the chance. That 5 second cast time is brutal. If you can't cast it in time, consider not casting Frenzy, unless you're only fighting one player and you can end the battle in under 20 seconds.

Use Precision Strike. Deflect and Retaliate means it will be up more often than you think.

Overwhelm whenever Stalker's Mark is up. Huge damage. Follow up with Pin Down if you can.

Charge into Triple Slash to trip and shake the target. Follow up with Wallop and then Pin Down.

Use Shadowsmite when you have 20 bloodthirst stacks. Can use Shadow Step to guarantee a backstab.

Remember that Shadowsmite resets your Stealth. Try to take advantage of this every time you want to leave stealth.

Remember Stillness when you get feared. If you don't suspect the enemy will be using fear, silencing is agreat way to interrupt the enemy's combo.
