Hello guys,what is up and how are you all doing blah,blah,blah...Let's skip that,okay?My name is Korhgar, glad to see you are on my Outrider mini-guide*.
I have been playing Archeage since the release, and after couple of months and endless nights of changing builds and testing them,i think i know things about him.

The Outrider is a hybrid Meele/Ranged class complemented with Shadowplay for maximum escapes and GTFO's. He is a highly mobile assassin, which if isn't dealt with immediately, will just go on a rampage and do stupid amounts of damage. However,a good warrior never rides alone,and who said anything about stopping him being easy? *Insert evil laugh*
Let's get started on crushing those dreams now, shall we? *insert evil laugh*
NOTE:The way i see Outrider, is for him to be played is a melee,with ranged support.

Armor:
I choose Leather.
Leather is a good mix of survivability against both magic and physical damage, while dishing out strong amount of damage. It complements the whole playstyle, and is really the best of both worlds.

Cloth: [MagicDefense]very high / [PhysicalDefense]low / [UNQ.ATR]SPI
Leather: [MagicDefense]medium / [PhysicalDefense]medium / [UNQ.ATR]AGI
Plate: [MagicDefense]none / [PhysicalDefense]very high / [UNQ.ATR]none
Leather 4/7: Increases Attack Speed and Evasion +3%. Increases the range of all bow skills +2m.
Leather 7/7: Increases Attack Speed* and Evasion +3%, bow skill range +3m, and Melee/Ranged Citical Rates +5%. Also decreases duration of Trip -20%.
*the 7 set buff tooltip does not list the attack speed increase like the 4 set, but it is still reflected on your character sheet.
Strengths & Weaknesses[edit]
Weak against Piercing / Normal against slashing / Strong against Blunt (source needed, conflicts with equipment)

Weapons:
I choose Dual-Wield,1-H Sword + Katana.
Dual-Wield is a high-risk/high-reward option.Your reflexes,and the fact that dual wield is fast,knowing exactly what you are doing and doing it correctly will give you an edge on your opponents,in terms of both damage and outmanuvering them.The only con i can think if is somewhat lesser damage.

Katana: [Damage Type]Slashing / [DPS]Low / [ATKSPEED,SEC] 1,5 / [DamageScattering]10% / [TriggerEff]When inflicting damage there is a chance that next attack will hit critically
