Intro:
Shadowblade is 1 from 2 viable/ Meta Melee Assasin Role in ArcheAge. Along with Dark Runner, Both SB and DR are Assasin Role. A role that can deliver nice burst damage within short amount of time but in exchange for weak Defensive stat. The standard playstyle of Assasin role is you go in, drop ur burst/ kill 1target, Check ur surrounding, Stay if ur team is winning, go out if not to buy ur CD.
Pros:
- Ur damage is EyeCandy
- Enemy can't land fear and sleep to you.
- Can open a fight with +
- Good Crit Rate to abuse Puncture. +
- You can control ur fight with +
- Can remove enemy buff rather than lure. +
- Somewhat can peel ur allies with AOE FEAR.
- Can Shackle and silent enemy at same time. +
Cons:
- Squishy. Just like any RPG Games. Assasin role is squishy and easy to die.
- No Shrug it Off Compared to Dark Runner. Stun will kill you.
- No Auramancy Blink compared to Dark Runner. Harder in 10vs10 or more fight.
- No ASPD Buff like DR. No Inspire stacking
- Somewhat got countered badly vs DEF Tree/ Shield User. Shield is around PDEF +1,5k
Skill Explanation(BattleRage):
= Your Auto Attack
= Gap closer and Trip combo
= Remove enemy buble/ snare for counter attack
= Burst!!
= Reduce ur Brage CD so u can kill faster, Synergy well with Deflect and Retaliate passive to refresh ur BRage CD.
= 20m Gap closer. Use this as finishing strike. Don't use this as opening. The bounce will screw you.
= Flat 5% ATK. Since the purpose of this build is open field pvp. A Safe pick compared Frenzy.
= If u use Dual Wield. U can block Archery. Sadly Long Range Parry didn';t trigger the Deflect and Retaliate passive. 8% Crit rate applied always.
= Synergy well with Battle Focus
= Synergy well with Dual wield 8% Crit rate. DEF -2k is just too good
= Brage Damage +15%. Yay!!
Skill Explanation(Shadowplay):
= 10m Gap closer + a Stun.
= Godly in team fight. Always use this after u make a kill to repositioning ur self.
= Inc damage +20% for everyone who hit the target. Also raise ur overhelm dmg by 77%. Huge boost. But for my taste. I only use this to cut enemy heal by 50% and to melt enemy Tank faster.
= Pick ur fight wisely
= Burst!! But u must use this from behind to get the 600% Melee damage.
= Use this to chase enemy Archer. Somewhat a must coz Primeval is Meta
= Good for chasing and repositioning ur self
Skill Explanation(WitchCraft):
The last 1 skill point is either Focal Stun or Mud Hand.
or = 1of ur CC to control the fight. Buble is better in bigger group coz u will need the 20m range. Sleep is better for smaller fight like 5v5 or less.
= Witchcraft Trade mark. Anti sleep and Fear
or = Focal is better if u are mass pvp to help removing enemy buff or peeling. Mud Hand for solo. With combination of Drop Back and Mud Hand will make outnumbered fight easier or bait enemy Bondbreaker so u can sleep ur target easily.
= Either purge urself or remove 1buff from enemy side
= AOE Fear. Good for opening or peeling ur teammates.
Situation Problem:
- Enemy use Redoubt = Remove it with +
- Want to open a fight = Tele to center of enemy with then
- NEVER USE Tiger as Opening in larger fight. The Bounce will screw you
- Standard Burst = + +
- Why not use Stalker Mark first? Depend on ur damage. I prefer longer CC compared higher damage. Somewhat the Standard Burst can take Non Shield Leather/ Cloth already.
- How to use ? Enemy is tanky role with a Shield, Enemy has Healer, Ur team want to focus fire to 1important target.
- Outnumbered! Use then sleep 1 with . Kill 1. Not sure for 1v3. LoL
- Longest Burst =
- Always use to repositioning ur self in team fight. Make sure u drop back to "Correct" direction aka ur teammates.
- Got Shackled! Can't use Physical skills! Either from Shackle Arrow Archery or a Shadowsmite!! use. Press Alt Then Purge for self target.
- Always share your to your Team.
- Combination of and will silent ur target. Good vs Healer/ Mage in case ur Cooldown is not Ready.
- + can surprise Archer class enemy because sudden Immob from 25m range. Drop back is around 10m and Mud Hand is 20m range. If mud Hand land. U can save ur 20m gap closer because of this combo then walk normally to ur enemy Archer. Always use Drop Back 1st before use Mud hand. U don't want to cast 1s in the middle of the fight.
Stat Focus:
STR - AGI - STM Or STR - STM
Weapon and Armor:
2Handed Path
Weapon = Nodaichi or Hasla Axe. Well Hasla Axe is easier
Armor = Try to aim for 90% ASPD to wield a 2handed weapon so u won't that slow. Lightning Leather Armor give nice ASPD for 7/7 Bonus but the stat is STR AGI. So u will be really glass.
2Handed give better burst to kill Leather and Cloth easily. But will have less puncture debuff unless u are using Nodaichi.
Dual Wield Path
Weapon = Hasla Sword in R-Hand and A Random Katana in ur L-Hand. Always put higher ATK in Right Hand.
Armor = Normally with dual wield u will have 85% ASPD already. 3% Leather armor 4% Ring and 10% Dual Wield. So no need to aim for more ASPD. Just go for more damage and survival. Try Desert Set. ATK 6% for 7/7 and the stat is STR STM. Or a GHA Armor for Crit damage. or 4x Flame for 24% Crit dmg then 3x Earth for STM
Dual Wield offer insane Puncture uptime coz the Katana Left Hand Passive. Slightly better to melt enemy Tank but the maximum damage is lower compared 2Handed so it's somewhat harder to secure a kill vs Leather/ Cloth Enemy.
Late Game Nevhie's Dream Gear:
Weapon = Dual Wield Flame Katana or Flame Nodaichi
It's all about crit. Crit means Armor penetration.
Cloack = ASPD +6%, From : Haunted Chest Auroria
Simply because we don't have "Free" 24% ASPD from our skill Sets
Armor = 4x Flame Set Leather(100% STR) - Body, Legs, Wrist, Hands
Crit damage 24%. Critical is what makes an Assasin become an Assasin. Puncture rocks!
Armor = Auroria Promise Boots (AGI STM) - Feet, From = Auroria Mobs
Inc ShadowStep range +3m. I call it "GG"
Armor = Auroria Beldame Cap (AGI STM) - Head, From = Auroria Mobs
Decrease purge CD by 5s. So u will have Purge 25s and Shadowsmite 24s. So everytime u shadowsmite... U can ensure to use purge = Shackle + Silent at ur command.
Armor = Whatever you want Or Auroria Promise Belt (AGI STM) - Belt, From Auroria Mobs
Inc Free Runner dura +5s. Not that vital. But not that bad also
Neckale = Flame (Inc HP and STR)
Pretty straight. U need HP and STR.
Earring = Undecided
Ring = 2x Flame (ASPD and STR) OR 1x Flame 1x Gale (AGI, Armor penat)
You want ASPD to ensure 90% ASPD in your Stat.

Hi Nevhie! i want to ask you if i can use plate on this build, i am blighter but i want to try this one it seems to be awesome and i like it, i dont have any leather set so the only thing that i have is plate gha and a magni. desert cuirass

This build pretty much nworks like the one I made^^
I prefer a 2H weapon. U get the 8% crit chance and u can parry normal range attacks and get the cd reset.
I've been playing shadowblades for almost two years now so I'm 100% sure.
also go for auroria beldame guards (50% reduced delay for Lassitude) it makes fighting against DR and Primevals so easy as they can't burst you in 1.5sec. Some DR will be able to bondbreak it but u wil still have Banshee (I use the 1m auroria belt - easier to hit someone because I rarely get away).
Also consider using the Dream RIng (quest starter from serpentis). On highest tier it will give skill dmg (3%), -200 p and m armor per hit (max 5 stacks) and it increases stamina by 40. hence more parry and 480 hp.

Tell me more about it Bro. Just because i picked Dual Wield Passive so it must become Dual Wield? If the 8% Crit rate only for Dual Wield or Long Range Parry triggers Deflect and Retal i would go to Dual wield 100% for sure.
This build is made for 2x 1h, it's a mistake going 2h.
