About this build
I usually play Daggerspell (thanks to CUPCAKEY for his AWESOME Guide - check it out here) but recognized i wanna do more damage in large scale "zerg" PVP. So i checked a few builds and found Revenant which in my opinion is one of the most fun large scale PVP mages with a crazy amount of damage, if played right. I don´t use it in naval PVP because i think Daggerspell is more effective there with all his CC (bubble the captain of a galleon or AOE fear people of ships after shadow step is just too much fun). I play this atm with a Staff and cloth gear, which makes this class kind of a glasscannon with a high chance of dieing if you dont time your engage right. I never tried this class in 1v1, because i think it is not viable there - i may be wrong. I guess it could be good at 5vs5, but i haven´t tried it before. This class plays very well for me, when there are a lot of enemys because of the low chance to get focused by a lot of people.Strengths
You have insane amounts of instant AOE damage, at your disposal
Good at doing crazy damage to multiple players at the same time
Frustrating the front row of melees by reducing their attack speed and accuracy
Weaknesses
Takes practise to learn the right timing to engage
Very squishy if focused
Very mana intensive
How i play this build without getting fucked
Usually i play it like this: Glide/Teleport as fast as you can inside a group of people, do as much damage as possible in a short time and get the **** out of there and single target with distance skills. The timing is really really important, you dont want to be the first to jump in or you gonna get killed really fast from meeles etc. Best timing is to get in there is as quick as possible with or you glider so enemys have no time to target you. You also wanna try to get in there right after the tanks go inside the crowd and get focused. My style of playing
You want to keep your always stacked as much as possible, so always use it as often as you can. When you know a confrontation with enemys is happening shortly, i usually start with and just before you jump in.I either glide or teleport in the crowd and start my damage combination in this order:
for the slow effect -> this does a shit ton of damage with stacked inspire and gets them close to you for the next AOE´s -> this spell is risky because you need to stand still and channel it, but it does a lot of damage over time and in combination with it makes your enemys stand still.
If i get interrupted or the 9 seconds are over i use and to frustrate meeles even more and finish the damage combination with .
If necessary i use to break fear and to cancel stun or impale effects. you can use after jumping in bla bla bla.
After finishing my combo or taking to much damge i get out of the crowd as quick as possible (If there still is a crowd around you) with or by using my glider. From a safe distance and inside your own people i fire of and or start single targets until your cooldowns are away.

Gear
At the moment i use a Staff for max damage and cloth armor but i could see this build beeing really nice with scepter and shield and plate lake armor for more survivability because most of the people in the front row of zergs are meelees. If you are really really ballsy you can try to use the honor nodachi before you jump in for crazy fast instant AOE damage (attack speed speeds up the animations and global cooldowns of instant spells) but if you get focused it´s over because of the 70% increased damage recieved. Also if you try this, only use 2-3 instant spells like + + and get the fuck out of there.
