This build falls under your aoe cc Mage classes that do very well in groups and are very vital for front line. The revenant is one of our most popular aoe cc front line pullers. With this build though youll do great in groups with just big aoe dmg. If you lose Witch for occultism which is battlemage, that is amazing for large group pvp as well infact a lil better. But Cabalist would be a lil better for your smaller scale, having your self heal from enervate with mudhand and sleep and fear immun. You wont have quite the dmg as a daggerspell or similar with scepter and shield and not having the dmg and crit passives in sorc but you will be very tanky and be close to imposs to kill. Just classes like daggerspell Mage will be lil tough for you if they geared well since they will have bit more dmg.

You will use cloth and stack stam of course and some added defense from stones. Leather is viable too. You wont kill in 2-3 shots like some mages(Unless you got top tier scepter and playing against some plate wearer), but you will do good cons. dmg and be able to lock enemy down with ccs and self heal while having very high tanky defense and support. You want to get off redoubt right away so you cant be tripped and can laugh at any range or melee strikes. Sometime silence first since you got insulating lens helping with trip immun. If they melee you can purge after your silence to also combo a shackle. So now they silenced and shackled. Youll main rot will be similar to a revenant and battlemage with the sorc. Youll be putting up your imprision to lock them in then can mudhand or sleep or fear or anything to lock em in place then put up your flame barrier to have them stuck in it. This barrier slows them to a crawl. You can also alot of time just put it at their feet and not cc them first cause once they in it they will be very slow. Doing it after you chill them with freezing arrow, frigid tracks or freezing earth for more dmg as well. You then got your freezing earth which combos off your flame barrier and then chain lighting then dahutas breath which combos off lighting. Can throw out a freezing arrow as well if not on CD. Since you might be using that while their coming at you. After all your lockdown in your imprision you got the broken enervate mudhand combo. Which does good dmg and also heals you for a few thousand health. The cooldown is so short you will be able to keep ccing them and doing decent dmg until you need to self heal again with enervate and mudhand. You got invinc as well to let everything come off cooldown if you find yourself in a longer fight.

Like defilers heirophants and others CC Tank Mage classes you almost always be able to not be killed and keep enemy cced with lil less dmg then full on dmg mage but since you are so tanky and got self heals and cc the fight going longer wont matter, this is what you want.

You can always swap skills out for different situations as well. Like putting meteor in if you feel like it for big group pvp and stuff like that. Frigid Tracks is also a great cc if you want to try that out as well. It also eliminates the cast time of freezing arrow which is real nice.

*Note I got magic circle in here cause it makes up for alot of dmg and crit and you will be stationary alot of the time anyways. So you can use it after you imprision them and get rdy for your full ROT. If you feel you got enough dmg you could take it out for frigid tracks for even more lockdown. Or even a arc lighting if you want one big dmg skill.

For catching some archers you will use mudhand to lock them down so you can run up and imprision. Also the freezing arrow will slow them way down. Dont worry bout taking a full Rot from archers from range before they come in, because with redoubt popped and all your phys defense youll be taking very lil dmg and theyll need to close in some.
