Thoughts

Dervish - an odd but good build and quite easy to level with.

Battlerage for DPS - Sustained DPS
Vitalism for Healing - Renewal is the favorite
Witchcraft for Nap Breaks + CC's and Buffs

Pro - Survival rate very high. Tankiness medium, DPS Moderate. Very mana efficient.

Gear type:

Levelling Armour: Leather (Obsidian T1 unique/celestial no gems)

Level 50+ Armour: Obsidian Plate/leather (your choice)
(Physical defence should be around 6k with T1 obsidian leather gear)
(Magic defence should be around around 6k with T1 obsidian leather gear)

Levelling Weapons: Club + shield
Max Level Weapons: Obsidian Spear or club Type 1/crafted club + Obsidian shield type 1 / type 2 (depends on boss)

Armour and gear will change as you get better gear, but these are great to start with.

Why it is good?

PvE

Sustained damage output.
Witchcraft - CC's to control monsters when overwhelmed.
Healing for yourself and others if in a pinch (Renewal I am afraid is your bread and butter)
You have Balanced Physical and magical defenses.

For Party gameplay, just keep casting

It heals enough and mana wise it is relitively cheap for the hp it restores to players.

Build is good because you can put buffs on tank and yourself + remove debuffs from tank/yourself and kill adds that spawn on particular bosses.

Simple and main dps combo's that don't cost much mana:

+

+

When overwhelmed you have a variety of skills to stop mob damage, and to get some heals in:

Tip:

(Heals me currently for 5-6k health), its all you will need basically for bosses from what I have found. Dont know if they have made it so it scales. I chose this over antithesis (my preference)

Could not see holy bolt, so put this here to represent
. Been going to arena's with players trying to troll with this, so use it too if you come across this.

Overall you are a massive pain in the butt to kill due to your passives. You get solid defences damage you get gives you small amounts of mana that really do make a difference.

Depending on boss you can also take over tanking due to
for short periods of time if tank has an anti aggro skill and needs to regen mana or health then you can play dead when tank wants to take over again.

PvP

Your not anything special and players will call you a noob for moving so slow and not caring. You will look like a noob in pvp as you only have one movement skill that doesn't require a target to lock onto, so don't listen to those meta teleportation classes.

You will be on the floor most your life, this build is designed to soak up burst damage, it's the non-crit damage builds you have to watch out for.

In group fights run around cc'ing, always run around with a renewal on so stealthers don't kill you easily.

In 1v1 you will win a lot. Your fights are longer than average, but aim of this build is to sustain for a very long time.

Renewal basically makes archers easy, mitigate/movement passive from battlerage makes darkrunners ok to handle. If you have a club, it will help you fight tanks along with your debuff skills to get rid of redought and other annoying buffs that stop you from damaging them. Finally your magic defence should be more than enough to deal with a mage and bondbreaker helps with getting out of bubble. However Burst mages are a little tricky however don't worry about enigmatists.

Use cc's to allow you to cast renewal, and if you have over 20m distance also cast renewal if it is not on.

Maximum players this build has handled so far is 1v3 (shadowblade, argent and cleric), killed the cleric first, they all had lower gearscores than me however so not sure it counts.

Build Test 03/08/2016 (skill adjustments)

So did some testing for pve and pvp. With a 3.5gs it solo's HA with it having 6k phys defence and 4.6k mag defence, 18khp and 500dps and 400 healing (respeccing so please excuse the Gearscore). For the whole run I only need to use 5 small mana pots that restore 1k mana back each.

Pvp currently, trolling the crap out out of many people who are expecting it to be bad.
It's literally a sponge and the mana it has feels never ending during pve.
example of a duel today: I had 9k mana. The engmatist had 15k mana (4k gs). Its hard finding same level players who will generally duel.
He ran out and i was at half mana. and 60% health.

Went against a blighter to see how long it could keep healing and he ran out of mana.

Fighting style so far is so chilled I didnt even care about getting CC'd to death, no quick thinking needed so far.
So far i haven't really cared about being tripped 3 times in a row (mitigation) or being meteored (Good mag defence).

It tanked one of the guards in Halcyona war happily for a while and then played dead after mana ran out (rough estimate of tanking time is 3 mins).

HA RUN (1st boss was easy) Second boss felt like forever to kill. 3rd boss needed 4 mana pots. last boss needed 2 mana pots, took forever to kill. is what I used for HA solo run which took 1 hour and a half with 1 death on third boss. and at one point taking on 4 mobs (2 snake mages, golem and guard) which seemed impressive to me as my abolisher build always ran out of mana in HA tests with 4kgs.
The build is very efficient (not much gold needed to buy pots)

changed revive (wasn't very useful in halcy or dungeons i found, everyone respawns before you remind them you have revive) to aranzebs boon as a filler and to get a little stat bonus.

This is the damage dealing version of build (skillset depends on how you like to play or how geared you are)
Damage dealing build version

I preferably like the extra magic defence. Soaking up damage is appealing to me and de-motivates players with the occasional rage at me for being a rubbish player in the arena when I play dead because i feel safe enough to think they are rubbish too :) however there usually not.

Finally before I ended the night I fought a stone arrow called Nozzi with a GS of 5k and won 2/3 fights with my 3.5GS. (originally for a joke as I thought he would kick my butt)

any thoughts as this build is turning out to be oddly good.

Final note< this build gets cc'd to the max by stuns, etc you name it, however once your back to normal you can usually heal back to full health in seconds as long as the opponent is still attacking you.

Nick name for this build i think is 'sponge' as it just bounces around everywhere getting battered and beaten while chipping away at opponents.

Vid's of PvE and PvP

My first test with build against bosses, Part 1.
You will see my gear near the end and because my damage is not yet over 650 dps the mana regen is not quite perfect yet, and so i needed some mana pots. Arcane desire is one end game weapon for this build giving basically infinite mana.
