Introduction

A tankier version of the Daggerspell that is more useful outside of 1v1 situations. I loved playing Daggerspell for 1v1 fights and using stealth to hunt reds during wartime but it has big problems when facing multiple enemies and enemies with immunity to fear. The Arcanist is much more flexible and has more to offer in groups and against a wider variety of opponents. You should also be able to beat Daggerspells 1v1 almost every time.

Strategy

The basic idea of the Arcanist is to use a combination of speed (
) and CC (fear especially) to lock down opponents and drop big skills on them (

As you can see Fear is extremely important as is getting your spells off quickly (
and
are 100% necessary!).

Against opponents with
or Occultism's Stillness skill, Fear won't work so you'll have to rely on
(Stun) and
(slow/freeze) to keep opponents at bay. Using
greatly hinders melee opponents if you run around the flame wall so that they have to go through it to get to you. The idea is to hinder them with those three skills while spamming
and
while using
to stay away. It's not perfect and you'll be at a disadvantage against archers but it does work!
