This guide focuses on quickly killing bosses by getting in close so you can throw Cosmic Haymakers. Not the fastest build for clearing minions but amazing at killing bosses.

Medals/Medallions:

Abilities

Attacks:

Cosmic Haymaker:
This is your main attack for bosses and anything else with high hp. The damage on this ability is amazing and will stun most targets (including bosses occasionally). Unfortunately, there's about a 1 second "wind-up" time before you throw the punch and there's no AoE so you'll be relying on other abilities for waves of minions. Always put points into this when it's available.

Mighty Punch/Photon Punch:

Photon Punch is your basic attack and is basically an upgraded version of Mighty Punch. It doesn't cost spirit, has a slight cone AoE, and does a lot of dmg so you'll be using it often. Definitely max out both since they not only synergize with each other but with Cosmic Haymaker

Defense:

Photonic Regeneration:
A powerful heal overtime (HoT) that becomes an instant heal+HoT after you've gained some photonic energy from taking energy damage. As melee you're going to be taking a lot of damage and this is the ability that's going to keep you going. I can't count the number of times this ability has saved me or enabled me to stay in the fight. Put points into this whenever you can.

Kree Toughness:
This ability gives you a pretty good boost to defense. Remember when I said you're going to take a lot of damage as melee? Well this ability is one of the tools that helps keep you alive while you're wailing on minions and bosses.

Utility:

Warbird Charge:
When you get surrounded you'll want at least one point in a movement power even if it's just from gear. Warbird Charge just happens to be my favorite. It's got a long jump range and the second lowest spirit cost of the movement powers making it perfect for quick escapes or for jumping back into combat. Flying Lunge or Crashdown Strike are also good choices. Just be sure to have a point in at least one of them.

Defiant Escape:
This is another ability you'll want at least one point in. It breaks all negative conditions including stuns, freezes, slows, DoTs, etc and if you have photonic energy makes you immune to them briefly. When you run into mobs with the "freeze" affix you'll be glad you had this power.

Other abilities:

You'll have about 17 points left over after maxing out the main abilities in this build. I'd recommend picking up an AoE. Below is my choice.

Stellar Flare:
This ability does decent AoE damage and buffs your defense but is slow to cast and causes all minions to attack. I only recommend this ability if you're playing in a group and already fairly tanky because you'll still take a fair amount of damage even with the defense buff. I mostly play with friends that use AoE focused builds so I let them nuke everything while I taunt the minions.
