After rescuing a de-aged Storm from the Shadow King, Gambit was brought back to the X-Mansion where he eventually joined the X-Men. As a mutant, Gambit possesses the ability to convert the potential energy in an object into destructive kinetic energy. Gambit utilizes this power mostly in the form of throwing kinetically charged playing cards which explode on impact, or by super charging his extendable bo staff.Marvel Source
Gambit and his fellow X-Man Rogue have an unsteady relationship, with a nearly equal mix of time together and time apart.
Card Master
This build is all about staying at max range for the most DPS and using Good Times Roll / 52 Card Pickup to get out of sticky situations.
Pros:
+Good DPS for both PvE and PvP.
+Great at breaking any CC and staying away.
+Can Cheat Death and has Sticky Fingers.
Cons:
-Goes down quick if you are out of spirit and can't get away.
-Uses a lot of spirit and needs lots of spirit regeneration.
-Lack of AoE.
Abilities To Focus On
Royal Flush: This is your only AoE and if used right right the only AoE you need. Stay at max range because when the cards explode it dose more damage, works well with both Kinetic Control and Wild Card. Can be used freely in PvP without a cooldown.
Wild Card: Use this when you aren't using Royal Flush or Stack the Deck. Works great with Royal Flush because they are both the same range and will give that added damage when clearing trash and taking down elites at the same time. For both PvP and PvE use Good Times Roll with Wild Card when getting away from enemies.
Stack the Deck: This is mainly for bosses and burning down enemies in PvP at a safe range.
52 Card Pickup: This is your only CC. Use it to get away from enemies that try to rush you.
Ragin' Cajun: This is used to add a little extra damage or added speed and dodge to get away alive. Use every cooldown for max damage.
Black Suits: Make sure you always have this on! It will add more damage to your range attacks.
Sleight of Hand: This passive is used to take less damage and have a chance to do some damage back when dodging.
Savate Expert: This passive is a one point wonder just for the chance to completely ignore damage and the health / tenacity isn't bad.
Cheat Death: Another one point wonder. No one wants to die and putting more points into this skill is just a waste.
Sticky Fingers: Not really needed but I like the added chance to find better gear.
