7/8 Update - reworked my entire Spider-Man build from one versatile web+melee build into two separate builds due to the 7/2 change to Web 'Em All. The change switched WEA from a DoT to a generic channeled power like most heroes have. The reason this messed up the combo build I had before was because it used to apply WEA then punch stuff to death while they were taking DoT. Since you have to channel WEA now you can't use that tactic. Therefore I feel it's best to focus on one of two builds: ranged, or melee.

This is my melee version of Spider-Man. He is heavily dependent on dodge from both skills and gear due to being melee (duh). This build maxes out dodge passives, and melee basic attacks. Corrosive Web Fluid will give you some extra DPS and Web Spray will give you double damage with Sticky Strike, slow the enemies so they don't wander off from you, and also weaken them so they don't do as much damage to you or your group. Also Web Spray will apply CWF to everything so they'll already be half dead by time you get to them.

This is a pretty straight forward Spider-Man melee build. His skills were dumbed down so CWF and QR are both passive now. All you have to do is activate CWF, then Web Spray and Sticky Strike everything to death. Your Web Spray vfx will only last 5 seconds, but the effect from it will last 9.5 seconds at rank 19 so even after the vfx is gone, you will still be doing double damage for 4.5 seconds to the mobs. Look for the slow vfx on enemies (yellow rings -ish around their feet) to be sure you will be doing double damage. Since this build only uses one power that costs spirit, only 10 spirit in fact, you will have plenty to spare. Of course rolling around and spamming Web Spray will eat through it at a decent pace, don't be afraid to through down some more Web Sprays just in case if you aren't sure if the mobs are still slowed. Until damage numbers return the slow vfx is the best way to tell if you'll still be doing double damage.
