Bruce Banner worked as a scientist on the gamma bomb project when he heroically saved a young man from exposure to a nuclear blast. Unfortunately, the exposure to gamma radiation changed Banner's cell structure, causing him to transform into a raging green monster (known as the Hulk) when he became angry.Marvel Source
Over the years, the Hulk has acted as hero, villain, or pure destructive force depending on his state of mind.
Through it all, Banner continues to search for a cure that would end his deadly rampages.
Bokou's Hoppin' Hulk! "Endgame tested, Bokou approved."
Pretty basic Hulk leap build. This build is based on leaping in, jumping a couple times, then moving on. You have a basic attack, Savage Swing, when you're out of spirit but you will melt most mobs with an Avalanche Leap and Earthquake Leap combined with your Destructive Mayhem.
The spare points in Brutal Swing are only there for the synergy damage to Savage Swing. These points can really be moved into a couple other powers ad still be useful since with the right amount of spirit you won't really need your basic attack very often if at all. I'll go into a few options I feel are the best use of these points:
1. Crushing Leap - This is one of the least attractive options. It gives a 1% damage synergy to Avalanche Leap per point which isn't bad but the majority of your damage comes from Destructive Mayhem and Earthquake Leap.
2. Terrible Roar - The fear from this skill doesn't work as often as I wish it did on bosses. It can be useful when you're in a red terminal and you need to keep those Ignore Defense/Deals Extra Damage mobs afraid while you kill them. Also it can be used as an interrupt for Heals While Injured bosses which is nice.
3. Rubble Toss - This skill deals decent damage, has no synergies, and is ranged. Plus, it's just a fun skill in general. You can use this when you're in boss tough boss fights that keep one-shotting you, like in limbo or red terminals. Leap in so Destructive Mayhem activates, leap out, throw some rocks, repeat. This is a very valid skill but be sure to get your money's worth. If you find yourself never really throwing rocks, move those points into something else.
4. Hulk Mad - I went with Hulk Tough because as Hulk, you need every bit of help you can get to stay alive. I know, it's sad, but that's the fact right now. If you plan on doing limbo or other hard content like red terminals without getting 10 defeats a run, you need to load up on the defensive stats. That being said, if you solo a lot in green terminals or find yourself blowing through content, then maybe the extra damage would be more useful to you. Having both buffs is a nice convenience but remember, you can only use one at a time. Also Gaz is in the process of making defense more valuable so Hulk Tough is an investment since it will only become more valuable.
5. Mighty Smash - You can't just move 16 points into Vicious Headbutt or Mighty Smash and really benefit from it. Only 16 points in these skills will not let you do more damage compared to the Savage Strike plus damage synergy from another basic. However, if you really want Mighty Smash and have enough spirit, then here's what you should do: completely empty your basic attacks and put 17 points in Vicious Headbutt and 20 in Mighty Smash. That's right, NO basic attack. Theoretically you shouldn't even need one since your leaps should be enough to kill everything with no stragglers. However, you will have to get up close and personal with bosses for this to be worth it. This is a very valid option if you have the spirit to support it. Pym's Shrinking Serum helps a lot for this option.
I tried Unbridled Rampage up until about level 40 but it was just useless once I started limbo. I never used it because my anger was never growing. The skill looks like a good option but in practice it does NOT work well and is a waste of points. Short Temper or World Breaker may be decent choices with enough points in them but I don't feel they are better than any f the five above options. Personally I like Mighty Smash or Rubble Toss option out of the five above but I wouldn't have listed the others if I didn't feel they were viable.
As for your gear, try to stack as much dodge as you can. I have about 40% dodge and I wish I had more. Seriously you need as much stats to keep you alive as possible until defense becomes useful. Also you can switch out Fearsome Fist for a Starstone Tooth since right now DoTs (like Destructive Mayhem) can't crit. After dodge, look for spirit on every piece of armor you can. You should be leaping 90% of the time which costs spirit so load up on it. The core can really be switched out for almost anything. Hulk has max durability and strength so you don't need those, and fighting only adds the bonus damage to his basic attack (or Mighty Smash if you go that route). Spirit core is the best choice to me but feel free to get greedy and add the drop rarity/item find. Hulk doesn't benefit too much from cores.
I check my builds usually a few times a day and will promptly answer (in maybe more detail than you want) and questions or comments you leave here. Thanks for checking out the build and if you down vote, PLEASE say why. I know there's a lot of troll voters on sites like this but if someone has a viable argument against something here I'd love to hear it.
Good luck Hulk fans and happy Hoppin'!
