INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this build is for those who prefer a more physical damage approach to using Thor rather than spamming thunder and lightning all the time. This build also enables you to seamlessly switch between his ranged and melee attacks based on the powers, artifacts and core chosen.

On a side note, in tribute to the upcoming Thor movie coming out at the end of this month (October), I'm revamping this guide to make it more detailed for all you Thor fans out there. :D

POWERS
I will be listing down alternatives as well for those who want more options.

Master of Mjolnir

Hammer Strike: This will be your main basic attack which deals pure physical damage. Why I chose this is because this will greatly benefit from Asgardian Frenzy listed below.

Mighty Shockwave: This is the counterpart to Bring the Thunder under the God of Thunder tree. It deals massive damage and is the power which you would want to spam like Bring the Thunder. This will benefit from Asgardian Frenzy as well.

Immortal Combat: This is the only power which you need to max out under this tree. This passive is meant to increase your survivability when you switch from ranged to melee with the Idol of Khonshu complementing it.

God of Thunder

God Blast: Ah yes, the fabled God Blast. After the buff from Gaz, this has become your most powerful AoE power in your arsenal. Kills or finishes off mobs which would have either killed you or taken you ages to kill.

Alternative: Almighty Mjolnir. May not be as damaging as God Blast but its still an alternative nonetheless.

Son of Asgard

Asgardian Stamina: Its the power which you need to max out regardless of whether you are going ranged or melee as it helps to improve your overall survivability.

Mjolnir's Flight: One point wonder for obvious reasons. Good power to use to get around.

Godly Valor: Its the power to use to restore spirit back to you after spamming Mighty Shockwave or any other spirit based powers. The thing which I like about this power which is also different from other restoring spirit powers is that it gives you a free emergency dps when you run out of spirit. (See note below).

Asgardian Frenzy: The power to use to give you an added burst of boost when you need it most in melee. It has a nice lifesteal on hit as well. This power greatly benefits this build due to all the physical damage that the chosen powers deal.

*NOTE: The number of points placed into Godly Valor and Asgardian Frenzy are not cast in stone. It's really up to you to find a good balance between them. And to help you do that, use this factor as consideration - which would you do more? range or melee? If you are going to spam any spirit based powers more, then place more points into Godly Valor, if not, go Asgardian Frenzy if you decide to melee more, or use more physical damage powers. This should help you decide how to balance it.

GEARS

Relic: Relic of Asgard. This helps you to boost your melee damage.

Alternative: Relic of Lemuria if you find yourself dying too much. Or Relic of Atlantis for more crit damage.

Artifacts:
Atlantean Jewel - This artifact has been buffed in-game but not on this site, so do not look at the numbers and features here. This was chosen to make Thor feel more tanky and also lets you deal increased damage to those attacking you while helping you solve your spirit regen issues by gaining spirit when you take damage. Despite the minor reduction in spirit pool penalty imposed by the artifact, you will find that you will get your spirit back up really quickly due to the number of mobs hitting you at one time.

Alternative: Moonstone Shard - For those who do not like the spirit reduction penalty and/or prefer spirit regen instead. Mark of Odinborn - For those who are not able to get their hands on the first 2 artifacts mentioned.

Idol of Khonshu - Enables you to seamlessly switch between ranged and melee attacks.

Medal: MODOK Medal. Greatly benefits you when you are in melee and having the mobs all pounce on you.

Costume Affixes & Core: Affixes - Offensive Affixes (Crit Rating or Crit Damage is up to you) . Core - Rarity or Special Find is up to you. +1 Fighting to boost your fighting powers. +% lifesteal on hit to help boost your survivability.

CONCLUSION
Well...that's the end of this guide for now. Will be updating it if there are any changes or new patches to come. In the mean time, enjoy this build and/or the alternative variations which suits you. Hope you like it!
