Great! No problem at all! :)
During a visit to the Persian Gulf to show off the latest Stark Industries weaponry, Tony Stark was captured by the enemy and forced to build a new super weapon. Instead (with the assistance of renowned physicist and fellow prisoner Ho Yinsen) Stark crafted the first version of his now-famous powered battle armor. He soon escaped captivity, though Yinsen gave his life to buy Stark the few extra moments he needed to activate his armor.Marvel Source
Since that day, Stark has lived two lives: one as the playboy industrialist in charge of Stark Industries, and the other as the high-flying golden Avenger known as Iron Man!
While you are in the edit box, do you see that mini tool bar just on top of it? When you look towards somewhere the middle right of the bar, there is this icon which looks like a chain being linked together. Click on that to input your link.
how do you create a link? I can make use of that in many ways to improve my own guides
INTRODUCTION
This guide is updated for patch 1.41 of everybody's favourite Armoured Avenger, Iron Man! But sadly this website hasn't updated it for this patch yet and are still a few patches behind. The build hasn't changed but Gazillion did some minor changes which were not announced at all which I will write about below.
I will also include other alternative variations to this build and provide links to my other builds at the bottom of this guide as well.
POWERS
Changes to the powers which have yet to be reflected on this website.
- Gazillion removed the requirement of having the need to get Shield Overload first before having access to Adaptive Defenses by shifting it up to make Force Shield a requirement to get before having access to Shield Overload.
- Shield is no longer required to be up for Health and Spirit to regenerate in Adaptive Defenses.
- Gazillion has corrected the spelling for The One-Off.
- The base cooldown of The One-Off is 30 secs and not 1 minute, and it decreases as you place points into the power.
- Ranged and Area tag has been added to The One-Off.
Energy Beams
Repulsor Ray: As this is a spirit intensive build over a long period, a basic is required to fill in the gaps while waiting for your spirit to regenerate. Repulsor Ray is used in this case because the debuff placed on your enemies from Disruptor Beam doesn't benefit this build as much as it does for the Energy Beams Build. 10 points is more or less sufficient to cause enough damage without killing you in the process while waiting for your spirit to regenerate back.
Arc Reactor Enhancement: 5 points are given here because it is not very beneficial as this isn't a heavy beams build. Added this power for the slight increase in spirit and tracking of your enemies on the minimap.
Defense Systems
Force Shield: That's a given that you need to max it. Apparently with this new patch you are more durable now for some reason.
Shield Overload: Its a given that you need to have if you want to go for Adaptive Defenses. Good for restoring a portion of your spirit and a good CC breaker too. A one point wonder to me though due to scaling.
Adaptive Defenses: The number of points in here really depends on your preference. Personally, I found 10 points to be just nice to keep me alive and having my Shield regen up real quick together with my health and spirit.
Tech Gadgets
Wrist Rocket: This is your bread and butter for a Missile Build. Good for spamming and clearing normal trash. Also use this power to finish off blue, yellow and boss enemies after using the harder hitting powers listed below.
Micro Missiles: Although this is an Area Power, it is also a very good single target power as well, especially for (movement intensive) boss fights as this power will track your target.
Jericho Bombardment: A really good AoE power, especially when you want to lure enemies into a trap. Only drawback is the radius of the power which I feel that it could be enlarged to make it more useful.
Missile Control System: This power is the counterpart of the Arc Reactor Enhancement for the Energy Beams build. Like how the Arc Reactor Enhancement increases Beam damage, Missile Control System increases the crit rating of all your missile powers (and also fires out additional automated missiles while you are firing your other missile powers), thereby translating to an increase in Missile damage.
System Reboot: A one point wonder.
Jet-Boot Flight: Another one point wonder.
Deployable Medic: Yet again another one point wonder.
GEARS
Relic:
Relic of Xandar. Quite straight-forward. This relic increases the base damage done for all your range powers.
Alternative: Relic of Lemuria if you find yourself dying too much. Or Relic of Atlantis for an increase in crit damage.
Artifacts:
Edge of Infinity - This goes without saying.
Xerogen Crystal - due to the recent enhancement of this artifact, it is now really powerful and viable to use. The stats that will help you here are the increased in attack speed, damage rating, brutal strike rating and damage done. This is used here so that it will also benefit your non-Area Powers.
Alternative: Power Prism in place of Xerogen Crystal for more focus on Area Powers.
Medal:
Bullseye. Increases crit rating and damage overall.
Alternative: Doctor Octopus in place of Bullseye. Same reason for having Power Prism as an alternative.
Costume Affixes & Core:
Affixes: Offensive affixes are used with this build for all 4 grades.
Offensive Affixes - Crit Rating
Core - Rarity or Special Find is up to you. +1 Energy to benefit Wrist Rocket and Jericho Bombardment which deal energy damage and +1 Strength to benefit Micro Missiles and Missile Control System which deal physical damage.
CONCLUSION
Well...that's the end of this guide for now. Will be updating it if there are any changes or new patches to come. In the mean time, enjoy this build and/or the alternative variations which suits you. Hope you like it!
