Estranged son of the evil mutant Mystique, Kurt Wagner was raised by a fortune teller and grew up as part of a travelling circus in Germany. Using his unique physique and agility, he performed as the star acrobat for years until finally attempting escape. During this escape, Nightcrawler teleported for the first time, an event that lead to him being rescued from an angry mob by Professor Charles Xavier, who came to recruit him into the X-Men.Marvel Source
From there, Nightcrawler became a mainstay of the X-Men’s various incarnations, as well as other teams such as Excalibur. He uses his teleportation, expert swashbuckling and superhuman agility to defeat enemies quickly, but maintains a light-hearted and positive attitude and serves as a moral anchor for the team.
The most obviously controversial choices are: Blink Strike, which is currently buggy, but not so much that I can't live with it, and I really love it. And no dive-bomb. It's obviously a great power, but it feels less Nightcrawler to me than a more teleport-focused build.
Strategy is dead simple on paper: for groups, blink strike in, infernal brimstone, and then blink strike. For bosses, same business, but with Brimstone Beatdown. The beauty is in the execution -- use your plain old teleport LIBERALLY to move around the battlefield. Always be behind the person you're attacking. Never stand still. And use shadowmeld if you run into trouble -- that's what it's there for.
Another revision: Flash and Grab. I was watching X2, and grabbing someone and teleporting away is too cool to pass up. I think using it as a 1-point wonder is sufficient; the damage doesn't scale so much as to make it worth more.
