A. Twin Pym Arrow - This basic heals you and gives you spirit back when the two arrows it shoots connect with an enemy. Decent damage, great utility. No reason not to use this basic. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES

B. World's Greatest Archer - This passive is incredibly useful. Your arrow attacks have a chance to pierce through your first target and hit multiple targets, and if that wasn't enough you get a weapon's worth of damage rating (688 at level 20). A must have. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES

C.Three Round Burst - Your single-target boss shredder. Shoots 3 arrows at a time and does 40% more damage to bosses/elites. Extremely useful for taking down the big guys. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES

D. Acrobatic Roll - Your movement ability. Gives you attack and move speed after you use it and if you roll through enemies, stuns them. Use it to get away, or to roll through a pack and get up shooting. PUT ONE POINT IN THIS ABILITY

E. Precise Aim - Almost 700 crit AND brutal rating at level 20, and puts a modest damage over time effect on every enemy you shoot. 'Nuff said. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES.

F. Combat Training - Tons, tons of dodge, some chance to evade attacks, Def and damage on Melee. While we won't use the damage on Melee-this is our best way to get Dodge, which is vital to our survival. DUMP THE REMAINDER OF YOUR POINTS IN THIS ABILITY OR SPLIT WITH YOUR SIGNATURE TO MAX FOR MORE TANKINESS.

G. Explosive Arrow - Explosive arrow is a ton of upfront damage that will serve as your AOE trash clear. It puts a 10% Vulnerability debuff on mobs, and generally blows them to pieces. Along with your signature, you'll be clearing giant packs in no time. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES.

H. Flash Bomb - Your CC break. Put one point here so you can cleanse, get some immunity, and your next attack does a brick ton more damage. PUT ONE POINT IN THIS ABILITY

I. StarkTech Claymore Turret - Your signature. Drops a turret that sticks around for a few seconds and does a TON of AOE damage. Extremely useful, we love it-don't underestimate its DPS and pack-clearing ability. MAX THIS ABILITY AT ALL TIMES

Playstyle-
A. Roll around.
B. Shoot Explosive Arrow to blow up trash or Three Round Burst for single target shred.
C. Drop your turret for moar damagez.
D. Shoot your Twin Pym arrows for moar Spirit and Health as needed.
E. Try not to die!

2. Gear

Uniques:

Slot 1 – Trickshot's Bow (Hawkeye Unique) - 500+ crit rating (wow), Some procs, damage on physical/energy (so covers everything), +to all Trick Arrow powers (Explosive/Claymore turret). The +to Energy damage is the only wasted affix on this item. Its pretty fantastic, and is certainly our choice for Slot 1.

Slot 2 – We have two options for Slot 2, both Hawkeye Uniques. Goliath Serum makes you extremely tanky, and gives you +physical damage (everything we use, basically) with an additional +2 Strength (buffs Physical damage, which includes our arrows). The Quiver gives -straight- damage rating, and also sports a +to all Archery powers (which goes a -long- way). Unfortunately we do not use Wave of Arrows, so the big buff to that is pretty useless. Honestly if you're having trouble surviving, the 3k+ health on the Goliath Serum is hard to pass up. Your discretion here.

A. Tanky option - Serum B. DPSy option - Quiver

Slot 3 – Hulkbuster Arrows (Hawkeye Unique) - Amazing Unique. These arrows give an additional 25% damage based on range, making it an Advanced Neth Jewel and a half, basically. In addition you'll see major damage on crit, and big +skills to his Archery powers and the three with our crit/brutal passive and our defensive passive. A must have.

Slot 4 – Ronin's Ninja Boots (Hawkeye Unique) - Physical damage, crit, dodge, chance on hit to cause a modest bleed, health on kill, and a +a bunch to Combat Skill powers (Crit passive/defensive passive). With this and the Arrows alone, we're eyeing up level 32 on our crit passive. Huge.

Slot 5 – HawkGuy Shades (Hawkeye Unique) are pretty bad here. Health, crit rating, and +1 to all powers are meh. You get some Dodge and regen, but its not incredible. The proc is...lame to say the least. I'd rather go for a well-rolled Cosmic or Purple that gives you +Explosive, +Three Round Burst. You'll get the +1 t all powers anyway if its a cosmic, and really buff your damage skills.

Relics: Take Lemurias. With Twin Pym Arrows you should be able to regen a ton of life on hit.

Artifacts: You have many options here.

Standard DPS Setup:
Hand of Doom: damage, crit, brut & electrocute chance
Advanced Metasensory Array: Attack Speed/Damage
Xerogen Crystal: Attack speed/crit/etc.
Nutso: attack speed, dodge
Super Heroic Shield Motion Tracker: max range attack bonus, ranged crit, & enemy reveal
Ziggurat of Kargul: crit/crit damage & blink at health cost
Metasensory Array: Attack Speed/Damage
- Hawkeye doesn't get a lot of attack speed, like any, so this might work out well. He also doesn't really need much.

Shotgun DPS Setup: Given that his Hulkbuster arrows give you +25% damage up close, we might want to go for the Shotgun build. A Neth

Kun'Lun Talisman - all have the same effect
Advanced Meta
HoD
Xerogen - whatever to finish the build off.

Tanky option - @wyvernfist has turned me on to this for ranged characters. Serum of the Seraphim gives you bonus defensive stats while at max range. Pew pew from far away and die less. A Super Soldier Serum and Advanced Meta, Xerogen, etc, etc. can also be good. I'd slot one tanky artifact for sure in there to maximize survivability.

Blessings: Helas. We crit a lot, so Helas are good!

Costume: +1 Fighting +1 Strength if you can. This build relies mostly on Hawkeye physical damage, so we want to boost that (his strength is slightly low, but with a Goliath Serum we can super boost it at +3).

Legendary: Gungir or Apollo, really leaning towards Gungir. We already have lots of crit, however, so Apollo might be better.

Insignia: O'Gradysaurus Rex with some Ranged on it.

Uru item: Ranged damage Uru.

Medallion: We probably won't need Bullseye. If you are still lacking crit before you get Uniques, get Bullseye. If not, I'm in favor of Grim Reaper since we melt trash so much or even a tanky Medallion like Sabretooth to keep us up. I know it sounds silly, but he does pretty good damage on his own-I want to keep him alive for harder content.

3. Leveling Strategy

We've got to make it a few levels before the Twin Pym arrows, but not many. Use Serrated Arrow until then, and Taser Arrow will AOE clear until you get Explosive. Weave his passives into your point buys as they come, and be sure to do the story-he eats up every point. Use Explosive Arrow to melt bosses until you get your Three Round Burst, and spend some time getting used to rolling and avoiding attacks. Practice makes perfect!
