Loki is the Norse god of mischief and evil and the adopted son of Odin All-Father, the ruler of Asgard. He is crafty, clever, and resourceful, using sorcery to achieve his intricate goals.Marvel Source
Loki resents the glory and acclaim given to his adoptive brother, Thor, and he strives to place himself on the throne of Asgard. However, on the rare occasions when his goals overlap with Thor or other heroes, Loki has been known to ally himself with those he would otherwise detest.
I finally decided to write another guide.
Loki is in my opinion one of the best heroes out there so far. Made me level him to 60 in under a week.
He was tons of fun leveling and playing. I haven't heard about the illusion bug until it got fixed so I hardly noticed a change (besides taking away the crit/brutal on illusions).
The build works perfectly fine for me so I hope you will also get something out of it.
For the leveling tips check the later part of this guide please.
My Loki build is focussing on getting up close, having illusions swarming around you, blowing them up from time to time and get rid of regular mobs with Permafrost Spikes.
Sorry if this writeup is not the most polished at the moment but I will get back to it later on and sort my thoughts ;)
My keybindings:
LMB: Spatial Deception
RMB: Permafrost Spikes
A: Misdirection
S: Arcane Ruin
D: Illusionary Projection
Q: Unyielding Power
W: Frost Armor
E: Arcane Levitation
Using this build:
Basically "Misdirect" in, use Spatial Deception to create some illusions and Permafrost the mobs.
For bosses I use Illusionary Projection to try and line up the illusions around the boss. Then blow them up with Arcane Ruin.
Watch out for Power Cosmics as they will hurt you a lot. Oh and pop UnyieldingPower before the fight starts, helps to keep the healthbar nearly full.
Works pretty well. If they bring back crits for illusions oh boy that will be even better again.
Gear:
This is unfortunately quite important on Loki. I found 4 of his 5 uniques (armor still missing) while leveling. All of the uniques help this build in one way or another but it is also playable without the uniques. Just have to use a little less Permafrost Spikes.
The artifacts are a mix of helping out the Illusions (cause I love them) and getting crit/brutal strike dmg.
As for the core I am a fan of having as much LL as possible thus I would go with another 1% on the core for it in addition to the Frost Armor. The 2nd stat on the core is up to you.
For costume affixes I'd go with Crit Chance. Works fine for me
Also for the relic I've choosen Atlantis to give the crits a little more power.
Skillpoints:
You have a couple skillpoints left over. Feel free to assign them whereever you think you could use them.
Leveling:
I give you a priority list I used while leveling. You might want to do it differently but I think that works out pretty good. The only exception to the priority list: When a skill first becomes available spend a point to unlock it. Don't feel like you have to spend skillpoints as soon as you get them, just wait for the next level or two.
Lord of Deception > Spatial Deception > Master Sorcery > Frost Armor > Unyielding Power > Permafrost Spikes
PVP Predictions:
After watching the stream last night I'd say this build is viable in PvP since it relies a lot on basic attacks (the only way for now it seems to be able to kill guardians).
Also got some CC in there with Permafrost but could add some more CC with Arcane Binding (1 of the 3 points left over, swapped for the Arcane Ruin on the hotbar for PvP).
We will see, I'll update the guide.
