Immortal God Build (for 1.31)

Introduction:

This build focuses more on a hybrid build for Thor. This takes advantage of his God Blast and Melee attack to maw down mobs. This is a DPS with a source of survival build. This build is extremely good for farming both shards (Green and specially Red Terminals) and Midtown Manhattan. Take note! This build doesn't use any of the BTT and Call the Lightning shenanigans anymore.

1. Core Skills

Maxed Out Skills:
GOD BLAST:
This is by far the most underrated power of Thor. Its amazing that i haven't seen people fully utilizing this skill in their bars. Though the odinforce resource competes with the other core, this wont matter since this power has a cool down and Godly Valor will help you bring it back to full in no time. I will also explain on how the gameplay in managing your odinforce. This is your source of Group DPS. This can maw down hordes of mobs with a single blast.

Asgardian Frenzy:
Asgardian Frenzy and its Increase in attack speed and Lifesteal will help you tank any kind of boss and your source of single target DPS.

Godly Valor:
Now why godly valor over Bring the Thunder? It damages anyone around your surroundings (with a good area) instead of pointing at an area (like btt). You can effectively use this once you deplete your odinforce from casting God blast or Asgardian Frenzy. in certain scenarios, this can instantly restore your odinforce to full granted you are surrounded with enough mobs.

Storm Strike:
The bounces on storm strike benefits the gain of your OF. Lesser damage compared to Thundering Strike but provides much more added utility.

Asgardian Stamina:
Your source of your Tanking powers.

One Hit Wonders:

Charge and Flight:
Your movement powers. Get from point A to point B quickly! If you don't have enough points to spend on these, then get it as an affix in one of your items.

Added Weapon Affixes:
Immortal Combat - put all your points you got from Heroic and Super heroic rewards. Alternatively, get this skill from a bonus affix. The rest of the points does not really scale well on higher levels.

2. Item Build and Affixes:

Affixes:
Here are a priority of affixes on making this build work:
1. Damage Rating - This is your primary DPS for higher HP Bosses.
2. Attack Speed - put this in your costume as much as possible. Faster attacks means faster you can fill your OF (not that you needed it).
3. Critical Damage - when your dodge procs, cast your any of your AOE powers to get the most out of it.
4. Critical Rating - This synergizes well with the Melee Aspect of the build.

Medalions: Tombstone or Bullseye
Relic: Asgard
Artifacts: Xenogen & CCC

3. Gameplay
Your strategy is composed into 2 different opponents: Group/ Mobs and Single Targets/ Bosses.

Group/ Mobs:
Prioritize your God Blast first and foremost to quickly maw them down. Get your Godly Valor to fill up your Odinforce guage then cast God Blast. In addition, learn the area cone of God Blast and familiarize yourself with it. However, if the mobs are packing too much damage, activate your frenzy to gain lifesteal. Now with your Melee strikes, you will be healing all the damage done to you relative your level. Remember, your god blast has a cooldown. If you have excess odinforce at this point, use it to cast Frenzy if you so desire.

Single Targets/ Bosses:
The priority for this scenario is your Asgardian Frenzy. If you have a very minimal odinforce, just cast it to get the needed boost from the power. With an IAS, your melee attacks help fill your odinforce in no time. Also, don't forget to cast your Godly Valor as soon as you can to help you gain the odinforce meter. Once full, cast FRENZY again to gain even more bonus. Remember if you leveled this up, you will have more than enough time to fill your odinforce up and cast God Blast.

Closing:

Please feel free to comment and suggest on what can be improved. I have written a few guides with Thor before and I have exclusively played him since the Beta. I have an alternate character but i never had the enthusiasm to level him up. I always thought that Thor is a power house in this game. However his start was not as good as expected and he was incredibly buffed from 1.1 above.

Thank you for reading the guide. I hope you will have fun with this build as I did making it.
