When Jean served as an avatar for the Phoenix Force, an immensely powerful entity of death and rebirth, her powers were greatly enhanced. Although she no longer operates on that scale, her telepathic and telekinetic abilities make her a formidable opponent.
i used to run this build w/ out implosion too but after some testing i find its great for herding groups together (esp. in bovine sector) and after casting lethargy it kinda acts like a nice AOE nuke. provides some very nice damage :) i use it quite often after ive casted lethargy its my main spam move.
good explanation. I may try this when I log back on. Been running a similar build altough I wasn't using Psychokinetic Implosion. How often do you use this skill? I find just flying and periodically casting Lethargy does all the work needed
She can handle any of the red terminal bosses, has to be appropriate for your level ofc. She has great mobbing so that instantly makes her dominant in midtown and bovine sector giving her very strong item farming capabilities.
So let me break down this build. Lethargy/Implosion/Phoenix Drain are your primary attacks. Lethargy+Implosion to clear trash mobs and apply DOT's. Phoenix Drain for bosses/high HP mobs. I never run out of spirit because once you get 1 point in avatar your crits will regenerate spirit and phoenix force. I never even use basic attacks. Keep inferno and corona on at all times to mitigate damage and to heal you. Make sure your are in melee range for Phoenix inferno though!
Telekinetic flight+avatar is OP, if you have decent crit. Activate phoenix inferno while flying over trash mobs. Inferno will crit them giving you infinite spirit thus allowing you to fly forever. Also heals you as you deal damage. d: Great for rushing to terminals/quest objectives. Kinda hard to explain but you will understand once you try it yourself.
For gear i try to aim for these stats:
Crit Chance & Crit damage *
+1 All Skills/+1 Phoenix Skills *
+1 Telepathy/+1 Telekinesis/Attack Speed/Energy Damage
+Defense/Health/Spirit/Dodge
I am currently using crit chance costume affixes. All crit chance on all 4 lines.
This maximizes the effect that avatar has. I currently have about 45% crit chance w/ exhilarating aura on. c:
For artifacts and medalions I use:
Mandarin Medalion
Adv. Flames of Faltine+Superheroic Maht's Arrowhead
I use Mandarin+Arrowhead because inferno and lethargy can trigger on hit effects very fast. Flames of the faltine procs every crit, making the damage output is quite high.
Some decent alternative artifacts include:
Edge of Infinity
Ziggurat of Kargul
Cthonic Idol
fearsome fist of farallah.
Phoenix Feather
occulus oroboros
meta sensory array
Power Prism Shard
Kree Hyper Optics (works decently)
Anything that gives you the stats i described on your gear would make good artifacts.
For core try and find a M-Kraan Crystal with atleast
0.5-1.0 Lifesteal (top priority as this along with inferno is your key to surviving and tanking.)
Invis/Invul on med Kit/Health/Defense
Special item find/Rare item find
Relics:
Atlantean all the way
Relic of xander is a decent alternative if your your saving your atlantean relics for another character
Note: Life on hit relic only procs at the begining of lethargy and at the begining of drain. Some people say its good but honestly i feel the other two are far superior.
Xtra point distribution: All extra points you get from quests should be dumped into Corona! Makes u even more of a beastly tank ;)

I changed the build my bit. I managed to get a unique that gave me +30 to phoenix transformation and a purple that gave me over 20 points in inferno. I ended up taking all the points out from transformation and inferno and pumped them into Corona+exhilarating aura. Very strong way to go but I wouldn't recommend taking points out of inferno or transformation until you have items that can max them as they are both vital skills.
