During a visit to the Persian Gulf to show off the latest Stark Industries weaponry, Tony Stark was captured by the enemy and forced to build a new super weapon. Instead (with the assistance of renowned physicist and fellow prisoner Ho Yinsen) Stark crafted the first version of his now-famous powered battle armor. He soon escaped captivity, though Yinsen gave his life to buy Stark the few extra moments he needed to activate his armor.Marvel Source
Since that day, Stark has lived two lives: one as the playboy industrialist in charge of Stark Industries, and the other as the high-flying golden Avenger known as Iron Man!
Iron Man has a lot of good builds right now, he's in a pretty spectacular spot. This is what I use currently. There are a few points that can be shuffled around.
Most people don't like putting points in Adaptive Defenses and Shield Overload, but I do. This is because I don't care for putting points into One-Off, as you can easily get gear for it, and Missile Control System, as I don't focus as much on crit and for the same reason as One-Off. If you have 1000+ spirit, I find the points in Overload to be really nice. With the 1.4 patch released on live servers, Gaz fixed Missile Control System not functioning for Jericho Missiles, and on top of that, they made the sound for the Jericho far less annoying, so after giving it a shot, I find I prefer this build over my old MM/SO/AD build. It would still work, but I don't think it's as good as this build.Old Mega Spirit setup
I will keep this guide updated every patch that contains relevant Iron Man changes!
How I play Iron Man right now is spam Pulse Bolt, because it's really powerful as single-target and AOE at this time, and I hope it stays this way. Keep Jericho Missiles rolling on high priority targets, all the while spamming Micro-Missiles on cooldown. Use Shield Overload when below 75% spirit, and One-Off on Yellow mobs, or on cooldown. Keep your shield up at all times, of course!
