Say we dont have the symbiote chest could we use wolverine's actual unique chest or would it be a problem?
The man called Logan had already lived a long and violent life when he was kidnapped from his black ops team by a secret government program called Weapon X. In a high-tech lab deep in the Canadian Rockies, scientists bonded the unbreakable metal adamantium to Logan's bones, relying on his mutant healing factor to keep the experiment from killing him.Marvel Source
But Logan escaped the Weapon X program, and before too long drew the attention of Professor Charles Xavier, who recruited him to the X-Men as Wolverine. Despite the objections of those who saw him as more trouble than he was worth, Xavier saw Logan's inner nobility.
Wolverine constantly fights to keep his savage berserker side in check, but no matter how hard he tries, it's usually just a matter of time before he pops his claws and goes to work.

For 2.1, I retired Iron Man and decided to pick up Wolverine. I have no idea why, but I had this urge to play him, and to be honest, I've never even really been a big fan of him. BUT. He is a blast, and until Dr. Strange comes out, he will be my main for sure. I've done some experiments with my build once I hit 60 and this was my favorite build that I tried. Although, I do want to try a bleed build, but for now... here's my Brutal Slash + Unleash the Beast build.
It plays relatively simple, you Hack N' Slash + Unleash the Beast until you reach 5 Fury, and Brutal Slash if there aren't numerous enemies on the screen. Even with mediocre, fresh 60 gear, I could instantly assassinate most rare mobs in 1-2 Brutal Slashes. For AOE, I'll use the same tactics but Eviscerate. With a small amount of points in the skill (Mine is only rank 5) it can hit hard enough to clear out trash mobs, and do a sizable chunk to elite mobs, so imagine it at 20. It does near comparable damage to Brutal Slash.
Not much else to say for the build, as I said earlier, it plays pretty simply. Bloody Victory is optional, I like it enough to allocate a single point, Can't Keep me Down is for quality of life.
There are some people who like Berserker Fury, I am not one of them. I find it too tedious to maintain, even though it does refresh it's duration when you kill an enemy. I find elites (and stuff in general) die too quickly to even warrant using it, and don't like having to deal with keeping it up on bosses, it's an extra Brutal Slash GCD I'd be wasting. If it's given quality of life changes, I may consider trying it again.
I will keep this updated for as long as I main Wolvie, and every patch that affects him in any way. I doubt I'll ever drop him, but once Dr. Strange comes out, I will be switching mains, so I'm unsure how much play time he'll get when that time comes!
MarvelBase has 3 more talent points than it should.Alternate Artifacts:
[item]207[/item] Helps for speed running terminals, and general mobility.
[item]116[/item]Would recommend this if you can't get your hands on the pesky [item]223[/item].
[item]247[/item]I'd run this, but I can't justify dropping one of my DPS artifacts. This is also getting changed (and in my opinion, buffed) very soon.
I would replace HOD with Advanced Kung-Fu as well.
Alternate Medallions
:[item]252[/item]Brutal Strike, 'nuff said. May end up using this soon.
Alternate Costume Core:
+1 Strength
.5% Lifesteal
I list this as an alternate because Lifesteal cores
don't drop often (I think? Not sure if they do or not - have heard they do and heard they don't)and if they do they're incredibly rare, so you'll probably have to trade for one.drop rates are bugged, and will be fixed soon. Once they are fixed, I'd suggest picking up Lifesteal and +1 Strength!Costume Stats: +Damage
Gear:
1 Slot:
Despite losing 1000+ HP, these are really great, and with enough gear you won't even notice the HP hit.
2 Slot:
+1 Strength and a lot of defensive stats.
3 Slot:
A lot of desired stats, it's hard to beat. Wish Sabretooth was better though...
4 Slot:
These boots are a staple of this build.
5 Slot:
TBD. Highly dislike X-Force Commander all due to that darn invisible proc, it's REALLY inconvenient. Currently, I've been rather unlucky when it comes to 5 slot though. My best recommendation for now would be a cosmic with +Unleash the Beast, +Brutal Slash and whatever nice stats you can find. (+HP, +Crit/Crit damage, etc)
Legendary:
No contest, in my opinion. Gungnir's crit and crit damage doesn't scale nearly as well as flat damage does. As much as I want to get the Ultimate Nullifier, I can't justify grabbing it over Excalibur. Again, it's too good to pass up right now. I'm slacking with mine. as you can see. >.>
Ring:
All of these are some of Wolvie's high priority stats!
Insignia:
The +1 strength is really good! If you get all of the above Strength gear, you will have 7, which grants you a 25% increase to base physical powers and a 10% chance to stun when hitting with melee powers. Not bad. I currently upgraded this, found a Blue version on the Asgard vendor, still unsure if you can get an Epic quality version. Will update if I find out.

Changelog
2.14
As of 2.14, Healing Factor is bugged! Beware of this, it will certainly hurt your survivability. The only known way to fix the issue is to completely un-equip any Cosmic gear you have, then re-equip. This will only fix it until you die, or change zones.
2.15
Healing Factor should be fixed, I've heard some people are still having issues, but I haven't!
