I usually jump right in with hell from above so i'm the center of attention. Whirl around a quick damnation (for the 10% vuln) while popping chains ablaze and just let loose with whirling chains. Just watch them drop. Single targets I use chain lash mainly so I don't get the stutter from whirling chains. Pop infernal contract for bosses and hell from above when you can. Chain lash has great range so If you can't stay in tight with whirling it's fine since you'll still be using chains ablaze to get teh dmg rating and DOT. I chose Gungir for my legendary and went with all +dmg rating to enemies attacking you on costume affixes.

Just a heads up. Penance Stare when a boss is half health and it's over. The execute with it is ridiculous. Now i'm talking about T4 terms not open world bosses they have a bit more health.

I've hit 86 brutal my highest for whirling chains so far. 215k brutal for hell from above and 250k crit for penance. I also use an eric'o grady insig with some crit on it. Unless you're popping infernal contract over and over you'll need some kind of crit rating outside of your costume affixes and gear. I don't suggest getting crit rating on affixes because dmg rating is better off right now. Gungir legendary will really help with this as well. The grim reaper along with pym helps for spirit and health control on mobs while seeing some frequent brutals mixed with the xerogen. The advanced meta I use based on atk spd not even for the dmg rating. I may switch that for a Hand of Doom down the road.

With the few extra pts you get from the new Asgard content I ended up maxing out chains ablaze but it won't let you do that on here.
