Melee-Hybrid Widow

Black Widow Melee

This build is mostly melee, with only 3 ranged powers. With this build, Widow will be able to survive slightly better and deal decent damage while we have fun with playing with her melee powers.

So what kind of playstyle does this build utilise? Generally, we use SIlent Killer often to stealth, and then attack enemies and stealth again. Like a hit and run.

Gearing Goals

Here are a few stats that we should at least be our goals and should be gearing for. Note that these stats are without the Omega System.

35% critical chance (not including Fandral blessings)
200% critical damage
30% brutal strike chance - Although brutal is bad, 30% is easy to gear for without affecting other stats and the really occasion red numbers is pleasant to the eyes.
20K health
6 Durability
47% energy/physical damage reduction from Defense Rating
30% dodge chance

Agility Tree

Our basic when we run out of spirit.

Max this because it adds critical, brutal strike and damage rating and also critical damage rating. The spirit on crit is also great.

Your stealth roll. Max this for maximum uptime and huger attack/move speed buff, although you could shift 19 points to other powers if you do not require maximum stealth uptime or huger attack/movespeed buff.

Our single target spirit spender and our "basic". I personally put this as my LMB slot because I'm not having any spirit issues.

One point to get across hedges and mobility in combat. It also stuns.

Max this because this applies vulnerability and knockdown which increases damage for Coup de Grace.

Max this because it has high crit damage.

Maxing both kicks isn't compulsory, but I like the vulnerability and knockdown from SK and DK has better damage.

Weaponry Tree

Max this for optimum single target damage.

0 because our Raiden-Tech unique grants a huge amount of points in this, saving up points for other powers.

1 point wonder. Could invest if you wish.

Spycraft Tree

and
max them to maximize DPS. Layered damage allows you to use other spirit spenders while the DoT ticks. One of them will be 19 points because of the annoying 1 point wonders.

1 point wonder.

1 point wonder. Really does wonder because it taunts enemies and take their aggro off you.

1 point wonder to see enemies on minimap. If you prefer you could don't put any points in this power at all.

Medallions

[item]36[/item] Juggernaut is great for survivability and it has an invulnerability proc.

Alternatively, use [item]254[/item] or [item]204[/item] if you want more DPS or [item]44[/item] for some health regen.

Doom is great too.

Artifacts

Adv Kungfu - Flat 900 defense bonus when you use a melee power. This is great.

[item]247[/item] This is a great artifact for your survivability. Defense, max hp, health regen. Awesome. :)

[item]221[/item] Is great for your survivability because it adds health and invulnerability proc. You also receive physical damage rating.

GOtK is good for DPS.

[item]244[/item] Is good for DPS because it adds crit rating and targets not attacking you.

[item]78[/item] A good boost to unaware dmg and decent dodge.

[item]234[/item] is great for DPS too.

Gear

Slot 1 - Dragonfang
Use Dragonfang because it gives you a huge amount of critical rating and critical damage rating.

Raiden-Tech S.H.I.E.L.D Prototype Armor - BW Unique Slot 2
This and only this because it gives you ranks into Kevlar, freeing up points for other powers.

Korshun Advanced Combat Knife - BW Unique Slot 3
This unique gives Physical Damage Rating, a bleed proc, stealth when your health drops below 30% and +1 to Strength. What's not to love?

Balanced Reinforced Stilletos - BW Unique Slot 4
It gives melee damage rating and adds a few ranks to some of your kicks. More DPS!

Gloves of the Siberian Winter/Natasha's S.H.I.E.L.D. "Widow's Bite" Gauntlets - BW Unique Slot 5
The gloves is great because it gives you a chill proc and some crit and bsr.
The gauntlets is greater in my opinion, though. It gives us unaware damage on stealth, electrocute proc on melee hit, +1 INT and stealth and a summon when your health goes below 30%.

Legendary Item

Nuff said, use Excalibur because it has more DPS than the Axe. It has 200 more damage rating and 100 more crit rating. Yes, the Axe do benefit Coup, and it does give 400 bsr and bdr, but brutal is bad. Here's what your friendly @walkeneightyone says:

Brutal is baaaaaaaaad, it's even worse on heroes that don't get crit and brutal passively. Brutal is on a roll-within-a-roll system. Meaning that you press an attack, first it has to crit, then that crit has to roll again to brutal. In short, having 15% brutal strike chance does NOT mean that 15% of your hits brutal, it's far, far, far less. You'd have to have 100% crit for that to be the case. Crit:brutal relation there is like 100%:15%, 50%:7.5%, 25%:3.75%.

Uru Forged and Runeword

URU
If you want DPS, use the Physical Uru.

For more survivability, use the Defense Uru.

RUNEWORD
Ancient Grove for survivability.

Use River of the Soul if you have spirit problems.

Lunar Eclipse is good for spirit management and survivability too.

Allfather's Fury is an expensive option for more melee DPS.

Blessings

Go for 4 Fandral. +400 Crit and 12% dodge chance is great.
Fandral

However, if you have reached the goal of 35% crit chance, go for 1-3 Hela Blessings if you wish.

Relics

Subterranean for the extra defense. Extra defense is great, especially if you have high Durability, you will get extra physical and energy defense based on a certain percentage.

Costume

For the core, go for LoH and +Durability/Health/Invisi Medkit. If possible, get 3 of them on the same core.

Alternatively, for more DPS, go for +Fighting and Physical Damage Rating. If possible, get one with Energy Damage Rating on it.

For the affixes, go for +HP for all 4 grades.

Rotation>

For story/MM mobs:
If you're rushing, then just
all the way and fight when you only have to.

Open with
and
away quickly. Sneak up to the pack of mobs and hit em' with
.
away quickly again and continue using
.

For Cosmic/Red/Hard hitting mobs:
Stealthily roll beside enemies. Open with
and
away quickly. Throw in a
in the middle of the pack of mobs and hit em' with
and
. Continue rotating between
,
and
and throw in a
when it explodes. Spam Deadly Kick a few times just before Widowmaker is filled to gain bonus damage for DK.

Use
occasionally.

For Bosses
Stealthily roll beside the boss. Throw in a
and knock him down with
and then use
until he gets up. Slash with
for a while and rotate between
and
until the explosive explodes. Continue placing the explosive to taunt to avoid getting hit and use
then spam
a few times when Widowmaker is almost full because:
Coup De Graces’ damage is increased based on current Widowmaker level, with greatly increased bonus at full Widowmaker level.

Custom Hotkey Binding (Check out how to add more hotkeys here)

2 -

I usually stick to a certain hotkey binding style. RMB and D usually for AoE powers, Z usually for movement powers, [1] usually for CC Breaks. The rest depends on the hero.

Here's what keys I bind to access other hotbars.
1 - 2nd Hotbar LMB
2 - 2nd Hotbar "A"
3 - 2nd Hotbar "S"
Q - 2nd Hotbar "D"
W - 2nd Hotbar "F"
E - 2nd Hotbar "G"
R - 2nd Hotbar "H"

How does this work? You edit the ini files and add in some codes. (More on that in the link above.) So when I press [1], the 2nd hotbar appears and "LMB" is "clicked". Similarly, when I press [Q], the power in the third slot of the 2nd hotbar is used.
