As a test subject in the same Weapon X program that had previously given Wolverine his adamantium claws and skeleton, Wade Wilson received a healing factor that prevented his cancer from killing him.Marvel Source
Wade soon escaped the program and became a freelance mercenary using the name Deadpool, working for various criminal organizations. At times he has teamed up with heroes as well, but these attempts at "being a good guy" rarely stick for long.
Wade is mentally unstable, though whether this is a normal state or is caused by his constant state of hyper-regeneration is unknown. One side effect of his mental state is the belief that he is not a real person but actually a character in a comic book.
I really like playing the Meleepool build by Sephidin, which this build is based on, but in endgame it doesn't work nearly as well for me. It might be because I solo almost exclusively, or that I am fighting in too high a level area, or even that I don't have the equipment I need not to get one-shotted.
I found that it was much easier to kill bosses if I threw out a (Li'l Pool) and switched to pistols (Armor Buster). I would throw out the (Li'l Pool), lock on to the boss with pistols, and hold down the attack button. Every few seconds, I'd throw out another (Li'l Pool) and teleport around with (Bodyslide by One) as needed to avoid attacks, minions, or other dangers.
This is a Spirit friendly build because the main attacks are basic, and only (Foot Gougers), (Get Better Fast), and (Bodyslide by One) use any spirit.
If you are not fighting a boss, you can use the melee portion of the build to great effect. Teleport in to the group with (Bodyslide by One), drop (Foot Gougers), and attack with (Flesh Wound). If you start taking damage, hit (Get Better Fast) to jack your regeneration through the roof. If you find that you are taking a large portion of you health with each enemy hit, throw out a (Li'l Pool) to distract the enemies from hitting you. If you find that you are running low on spirit, lay off the (Foot Gougers) for a bit and just concentrate on keeping at least one (Li'l Pool) up at all times and attacking with (Flesh Wound). It will only take a few seconds to get your spirit back.
My keys are set up as follows:
L-Mouse = (Flesh Wound) & (Armor Buster), R-Mouse = (Bodyslide by One), A = (Foot Gougers), S = (Li'l Pool), D = (Armor Buster), F = (Get Better Fast), G = (Med-kit) or (Stop Drop and Roll) if you have it, H = (server Lag), Q = (Med-Kit), W = (Quick-select for Flesh Wound on L-Mouse button), E = (Quick-select for Armor Buster on L-Mouse button).
You'll notice that some keys are repeated. Med kit on the bar is only for monitoring when the next one is ready to use. I don't use med-kits that often, and if I do, the Q key is much more convenient for me. The extra (Armor Buster) is because I like to shoot breakables sometimes, and it's a pain to switch the left mouse button to pistols just to shoot a few boxes, so I have it assigned to the D key. But when fighting bosses, I need it on the left mouse button because it is much easier to teleport around and hit keys while holding the left mouse button down than if I was holding the D key down.
In order to set up the W and E keys, go to the key bindings tab under the options menu and re-assign "Hotkey 1" and "Hotkey 2" keys to be "W" and "E" keys respectively. In order to assign the "W" key to (Flesh wound), go to the action bar at the bottom of the screen and right click on the left mouse button slot in that action bar. A menu will pop up with all the powers that you can assign to that slot. Move the mouse cursor over the (Flesh Wound) icon and press the "W" key.
I'm sure you have figured out how to do the "E" key, but just in case; In order to assign the "E" key to (Armor Buster), repeat the above process except push the "E" key over the (Armor Buster) icon.
I have to thank Sephidin for posting the Melepool build that has been so much fun and give all credit to him/her. Please post any constructive criticism or ideas to improve on the build, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
