As a test subject in the same Weapon X program that had previously given Wolverine his adamantium claws and skeleton, Wade Wilson received a healing factor that prevented his cancer from killing him.Marvel Source
Wade soon escaped the program and became a freelance mercenary using the name Deadpool, working for various criminal organizations. At times he has teamed up with heroes as well, but these attempts at "being a good guy" rarely stick for long.
Wade is mentally unstable, though whether this is a normal state or is caused by his constant state of hyper-regeneration is unknown. One side effect of his mental state is the belief that he is not a real person but actually a character in a comic book.
For my Legendary, I use the axe. Even DP's ranged is physical damage, therefore the physical damage with more crit and brut is awesome. Plus more bleeds, and who doesn't like bleeds. I also don't stack melee damage, even though this can be a useful option with meleepool. Physical helps both your bleeds, strikes, and bullets. If I want mass carnage, which is why I love my DP (besides his witty humor) then I want to stack physical damage over melee damage as it helps ALL his damaging abilities.
I use Atlantis because of the crit stat specifically. There are many good options in this slot. Wakanda for his bleeds (have it on Wolvie for that reason), Basic power damage (you'll be using as his basic stabby), Ranged power (if you want to switch a couple powers on the build and make him rangepool), and melee power are also good. There is also heal on hit. There comes a point around 100 on every stack where the health starts to outweigh the benifit, and with 32 slots of toons and growing, I can see why so you have more for your other toons. I just like extra damage on crit, and who doesn't looking at the guides.
For his medallion I use Juggernaut as it adds a point of durability and more survivability in turn. Some people use others that are viable for a melee build, such as Kurse, Tombstone, and for more strait dps, Madam Hydra. I have also seen Sabertooth. All are good, I prefer Juggernaut as a more tanky, less squishy DP. I could run a super soldier serum and a different medal and still have similar effects, but I don't get the point in Durability and loose some DPS and Crit off my Artifacts.
The rotation is simple on this build. Most trash mobs you use a + + everything in site and usually the trash pack is dead. If the game throws in elites or a boss, I add and a few chops in between my on everything (make um bleed...muuuhhahahahaa).
The reason for points in vs is really quite simple. Survivability over a 5 sec damage buff that by the time I recover through the leap is gone. I found that I used to get around the map quicker then constantly hitting . It is also easier to blink out of the way and blink back to the target then lunge through the target on Jug or Rhino and while lunging did do some damage, by the time I ended the lunge and ran back to the target the buff was wore off unless I triggered it again and sometimes that didn't put me right where I wanted to be but further off as they came to my point, which didn't make it very useful except for low levels to get around the map. Of course this is more based on personal preference and personal observation.
I use my for my opps I got myself surrounded and need to clear the map button. You don't have to have many points with Chuck's Uzis (though I prefer Tequilla's Hard Boiled) and a Magic Satchel in slot one and five to do decent area damage. Also where you point, he shoots while holding it down at around 7,000 to 10,000 DPS per second for very little spirit cost.
The Advanced Vita is a placeholder for Advanced Kung Fu Trainer that I use. Also a high roll on Yukio's in Chapter 3 SH could also be viable.
My Unique preference is Tequilla's (Slot 1 and you get +1 fighting), Beta Ray Wade (Slot 2, I like it over the Wolvie/DP Vest for the added DP benifits, but both are good), Katanas (slot 3, and who doesn't like making things explode), Lucious Loafers (Slot 4), and Magic Satchel (Slot 5, but Daddy Deadpool can also be fun and you get a minion summons almost as obnoxious as you...woohoo!)
is one of the most overlooked abilities. You get huge points in this if you go with the Tequilla's in slot 1 and Daddy DP in slot 5, so most people put one point and walk on. The passive makes it worth it. Not only do you get a free rez every minute and a half, you get DEFENSE. Every point bumps your Defense for all def stats (not just if you get hit with the physical damage that triggers , but constant). Deadpool's slot 3 is almost always damage with no defense, even cosmics and most certainly his Unique (though the explosions are quite amusing). Therefore he comes out in the end game high on damage to rival even Wolvie's bleeds, and squishy. This is where people got to weigh in the ever pressing question of do I want to hit everything hard at once then get squished or do I want to be able to stand there and take a punch while doing good damage? Now his points and God Mode and the Jug medal are great for overall survivability, but lower damage somewhat. Throwing say a Madam Hydra medal will give you more damage, but less survivability. You also have to take into account that your bleeds will do damage while running around the map instead of toe to toe, but I prefer in-your-face combat sometimes. The choice is in how you want to play.
I only put one point in . They can be a welcomed site in MM or X-Def. They can even give you that edge before you charge the boss in a terminal. With everyone getting some kind of buff with their level 52 review, they really are not needed and will make you singing, "All By Myself" trying to group up. Poor DP, always alone.
Our loner DP, tons of fun to play, but much like Thor, not really raid worthy until they decide to review him. Still a ton of fun to play. He has everything. The blink of Loki and NC with more damage then Loki and less hit and run of NC. An area of effect and range advantage over Wolvie, being able to increase DPS on bosses, some buffs if the party is short on them, range, melee, wolvie's DoT bleeds...but sadly the master of none.
There are other DP builds out there, and some of them are fun to play. This is my personal preference and I'm not saying it is the greatest for everyone, but the best for me and my play style. It also doesn't have to have three sections, a gaming mouse, or a gameboard to play this build.
I haven't experimented that much with Omega, though I am stacking Human Augmentation. I'll add more on that later after I play with mixing it up some.
Synergies: Right now I'm using DP (more stuff), LC (Def and Physical), NC (Melee Damage), Thor (Melee and Lightning proc now and then), SG (Boss damage), Wolvie (Brutality), Hulk (Health), Hawkeye (Speed and Crit), Emma (area and mental proc, though I'll change her out when I get someone more fitting for him), and Storm (more spirit, but again there are others that would complement him better I haven't unlocked yet).
DP is still a ton of fun, and who doesn't like snarky remarks, gratutious violence, teleportation, and the all important explosions for that ever important 18-25 demographic, that even this old man can enjoy. :P
