As a test subject in the same Weapon X program that had previously given Wolverine his adamantium claws and skeleton, Wade Wilson received a healing factor that prevented his cancer from killing him.Marvel Source
Wade soon escaped the program and became a freelance mercenary using the name Deadpool, working for various criminal organizations. At times he has teamed up with heroes as well, but these attempts at "being a good guy" rarely stick for long.
Wade is mentally unstable, though whether this is a normal state or is caused by his constant state of hyper-regeneration is unknown. One side effect of his mental state is the belief that he is not a real person but actually a character in a comic book.
Gear
Slot 1 – Anti-Metal Ammunition (any hero) - tons of crit/crit damage or a well-rolled cosmic with +to some of your staple abilities (like Foot Gougers and Flesh Wound or Big ‘Ol Stab)
Slot 2 – Beta Ray Wade Armor (Deadpool Unique). This thing is really tanky and generally awesome. You can use the Department K Tactical Vest (any hero) otherwise, however. Also just a super tanky slot 2.
Slot 3 – Katanas of Gratuitous Violence (Deadpool Unique) - Stabby stabby! Very solid Meleepool Unique over all, and does wonders for our dots.
Slot 4 – Footstigons (any hero) but again a well-rolled cosmic with +to staple powers works just fine. We have no Unique here
Slot 5 – Magic Satchel of Unlimited Weaponry (Deadpool Unique) - great stats on it and gives you +a bagillion to your crit passive. Daddy Deadpool Device (Deadpool Unique) - good stats, little deadpool who tanks for you and does decent damage. For me its no contest, Magic Satchel wins out.

Other
Blessings: Hela or Odin, like everyone else. Hela is fantastic because we crit a crap ton and so we brutal a crap ton-but Odins can be just as useful to help our dots and Big ‘Ol Stab murder bosses faster.
Costume: Deadpool uses an Adamantium Alloy, and if you can I’d grab +1 Strength and +1 Fighting on your core, with +crit rating on your affixes or flat damage. Depends on whether or not you plan on getting a Legendary on him.
Insignia: Standard O’Grady nonsense, get as much damage as you can.
Legendary: If you have a Magic Satchel and tons of crit already, and you’re at like 35%-we attack so frequently I don’t know how bad you need a Gungir. Anti-Metal also gives you way more crit damage than a Gungir does (around 3.5k) and I’d just grab an Excalibur at that point. Really up to you. With the stat rework, since our Fighting and Strength are super high-we may consider Norn Stones. Up in the air. I roll with Excalibur and it seems to work fine.
Medallion: Cosmic Kingpin makes us tanky and gives us lots of melee damage, Cosmic Tombstone is also tanky/DPS. Hydra is nice for the proc. Bullseye if you need more crit.
Relics: Since we’re facetanking, I use Lemurias. A small stack does wonders and if you can get an Excalibur you’ll be rolling in health on hit (since your dots are ticking and giving you health, as well as regular attacks).
Leveling Strategy
You unlock Flesh Wound, Foot Gougers, Safety Through Stabbing, and More Bullets fairly early on as Deadpool. Basic things to death and let Gougers do the rest at low levels, gradually work yourself up to using Big ‘Ol Stab on bosses and event bosses as you get it, and really don’t worry too much about Stink Bomb until later levels. Stink Bomb does tons of damage but Foot Gougers will usually eliminate trash super easy anyway.
Playstyle
1. Awesome Lunge of Death dashes you into mobs. You feel awesome.
2. Drop Stink Bomb and Foot Gougers. Stuff starts dying and you haven’t even whipped out the katanas yet.
3. Flesh Wound shreds trash and Big ‘Ol Stab goes to town on bosses.
4. Reapply MOAR DOTS when necessary (i.e. Stink Bomb and Foot Gougers) or 50 DKP minus and you lose damage. Basically you just spam your basic and Big ‘Ol Stab and throw down your AOEs as needed, not very complicated-which is the goal!
