When Reed Richards finished his experimental starship and wanted to take it on an unsanctioned test flight, his college buddy (and former USAF pilot) Ben Grimm agreed to fly it. Together with Richards' girlfriend Sue Storm and her brother Johnny, Ben and Reed launched into space, where they were exposed to unprecedented levels of cosmic radiation.Marvel Source
The radiation triggered mutagenic changes in each of the four passengers. In Grimm's case, he became a brutish creature with orange, rocky skin. Sue's description of him as a "thing" stuck as his heroic nickname, and Thing became a founding member of the Fantastic Four.

Enchantment: Lady of the Sword
Affixs: all Life on HIt
This build is meant to get the attention of any boss and take the damage that it will do to you and live to tell the tale.
I chose the artifacts that I did, which is a mix between tanky and dmg, is to help with putting out the ability to beat enemies while living through it. Same goes for his Uru-Forge and enchantment.
The key pieces to this build are and . is what you will use to get the boss to help focus on you (in the TC it was holding the aggro pretty well). The reason I use instead of is for the -10% dmg the boss will do and in the new patch one of his Basic's restores spirit so becomes slightly less efficient. Now for , the points I put into this skill are just based off of the gear I have on Thing right now. You may need more or you may need less but do what ever you have to with all the +points to get this skill to 20 and exactly 20 because any points more into it is wasted and useless. With this skill at 20 it means you take absolutely 0 dmg from any skill which in these raids is a very beautiful thing.
Now I chose to pick over is because with all his uniques and relics and etc you should have either close to 30k or more than that in hp and adding just a little more to that over possible damage, which Thing does lack in, didn't seem like a price I wanted to pay. Yes I do want to survive anything a boss throws at me but I'd also like to kill it eventually.
I picked Relic of Kakaranathara because His basic is going to be his main source of damage so why not do what I can to make it hurt a little more? With the new costume cores that give Life on Hit (from now on to be called LoH) and with Excalibur and the affixs I find that I have enough LoH to keep me at good health thanks to the super high defense that Thing has so Lemuria wouldn't make a huge difference but if you would rather have that then by all means go for it, getting extra LoH never hurts.
The only thing that is really lacking in this build is real aoe damage. can put out some decent damage even at level 10 and I have not had any real problems between that and my basic to take out any group in Red Terminals or in Cosmics. For my last move I mostly picked that as a way to get over gaps or over barriers or objects that get in the way.
