This build is meant to be used until 1500 rating when you can pick up the Recovery Gadget from the Arena vendor.
Gear
Because you're just getting geared up in fresh 1200 items, your choices are limited. There are three key rune sets as an Esper healer. You're going to want to make these, but you can't get them maxed out at your gear level. My advice is get what you can, you can make them work until 1500.
Priority, highest to lowest: Focus Regen (X), Protect Your Neck (4), Sight Before Sight (X)
(X) Means as many as you can, barring you hit a tier.
Earth: "Protect Your Neck" Armor
Fusion: "Sight Before Sight" PVP Power
Fire: "Sight Before Sight" PVP Power
Air: "Sight Before Sight" PVP Power
Water: "Focus Regen" Insight
Life: "Focus Regen" Insight
Use full 1200 gear and the "Protection" Gadget until you can get Recovery (1500). If you have access to a Dungeon Superb Psyblade it is probably better than the 1200 weapon.
Gameplay
Simplified:
Step One: Get a really good Warrior or Engineer partner.
Step Two: Heal them, a lot. Use Soothe and save all PSI Points unless you absolutely need it. Don't use Reverie if Soothe can keep them alive.
Step Three: Use your CC, intelligently. Hit them both when you can, but more importantly stop the healer, if they have one, or the person doing the majority of the damage (SpellSlingers!). Use Fixation for the Focus regeneration, try to put all your CC on CD before using it, even if it means randomly using CC that doesn't do much.
Step Four: Congratulations, if you've done these things properly and your Warrior or Engineer is good, you're 1500 and can head over to the next guide.
3v3
In 3v3 the only change I make is substituting Crush for Catharsis.
