Introduction
This is a "real" stalker tank build that is designed for Gold Adventures and Silver (or Gold) Dungeon runs. Full discussion on this guide is founds here:
Mahikos Stalker Tank Build @ WildStarOne.com
Unlike many builds found on here, it uses 41 tier points and 45 AMP points - which is what most of us have when we're going for attunements anyway.
Core
Generic Clearing
(3) - Your basic attack when you have low suit power. Decent threat generation.
(3) - Never use the second press unless you're desperate for a heal. Use it as an AoE DoT, which gives decent threat in multi targest scenarios.
(7) - Our main SP dump. Does surprising DPS/TPS, and gives a chunky deflect buff.
(8) - Does everything. Gives SP. Lowers Damage of enemies. Increases your Support Power.
(4) - A brainless SP builder and damage avoidance. No-brainer.
(0) - As a tank you will want collapse over
. Why? "Fixing" position is brainless with collapse.
SKILL OF CHOICE 1
SKILL OF CHOICE 2
This skill choice (the one pictured in the builder above) is mainly for generic, non-specialized tanking purposes. While it's optimized for a balanced build against trash - it's still not bad in boss fights. However there is a more specific skill setup for that -
Single Target / Boss Fight
(8) - Tiered up to 8 since this will be your main source of SP.
(0) - Simple DoT and desperation heal (mainly for the on-stealth bonus).
(7) - Still at 7.
(3) - Tiered to 3 since you wont be deflecting much.
(0) or
(0) depending on encounter.
(7) - A massive threat generation skill, and a self healing one.
SKILL OF CHOICE 1
SKILL OF CHOICE 2
With many fights having a long time disconnected from boss, threat generation and specialized survivability skills are key in boss encounters. As you can see you still have 2 open slots depending on your needs.

I can say that this build is effective at both generating hate and mitigation
@GLaD
Hi! Thanks for commenting on the build. Riposte is basically a filler. You can remove it and take Lifesteal III and Support Power III. While deflects wont bother you most of the time, the few times it does... you're gonna say "Man I wish I had Riposte" haha. But honestly, those 4 points are negligible. I personally don't like any of the other 4 point AMPs in balanced builds.
BOOST makes the most solid contender as a replacement. But it's only good for clearing trash faster.
Thanks for posting this. Just hit 50 on my Stalker and am trying to find a good tank build that balances threat/mitigation and is still fun to play. :)
Out of curiosity, why take Riposte? I know 14% Strikethrough is the supposed standard for _raid_ tanks to avoid being Deflected, but I'm at 7.25% as a fresh 50 in terrible gear and haven't encountered any problems in Vet Dungeons or Adventures thus far. Wouldn't those 4 points be better spent on a different AMP in the Support or Hybrid S/U tree?
